The anatomy of a good prompt
Every prompt on this site follows the same five-part structure, because it is what turns generic AI output into copy you can use. The Prompt Builder above assembles these parts for you.
Role
Tell the assistant who to be, so it writes at the right level.
Context
Your real details: what you do, for whom, and why you are different.
Task
Exactly what to produce, and how many options.
Constraints
What not to do, starting with: do not invent facts.
Format
How to lay out the answer so it is ready to use.
The prompt library
Prompts organized by the page or task you are working on. Each page explains when to use each prompt, includes a worked example and lists the mistakes to avoid.
Prompts by industry
Different businesses need different pages, and some have rules about what you can say. These pages include prompts and the cautions specific to each industry.
Guides
Plain-English guides to using AI for your website without the generic copy, made-up facts or thin pages that hold sites back.
Questions
Is the Prompt Builder free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no limit. The site is supported by advertising and labeled partner links.
Do you see or store what I type?
No. The Prompt Builder runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us. When you choose to open a prompt in an AI assistant, the prompt goes to that assistant, under its own terms and privacy policy.
Which AI assistant should I use with these prompts?
The prompts are written to work with any major chat assistant, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, and with AI website builders. Results vary between tools and between runs, so try a prompt more than once and keep the best lines.
Can I publish what the AI writes?
You can, after you check it. AI assistants can make mistakes and invent details. Every prompt here tells the assistant not to invent facts, but you should still verify every claim before publishing. Our fact-checking guide explains how.
How were these prompts made?
Our editors wrote each prompt by hand, built around a consistent structure: a role, your real details, a specific task, constraints and an output format. See our editorial standards.
